Above is our elementary class enjoying a wonderful Wednesday evening.
Wednesday April 16th. We had our first Central Elementary Volunteer day. We helped the third grade classes make baskets as part of their participation in the Central Art Festival which was going on at that school all week. We sponsored this day and helped bring in a wonderful artisan named Patti English who has made 2100 baskets in her life and has been coming to the school for several years now. There was also the Children's interactive Theatre for the K-1st grade. Fish the Magish for the Second graders, dulcimer playing and interactive dance for the fourth and fifth graders. We had seven volunteers come out to help with the baskets. Rick and Susan Dull, Shaun Beckish, Jill Baumgarner, Emily Patton, Johnathon York and myself all had a blast. The teachers were sooooo appreciative of our help. We are excited about the possibility of really building a partnership with Central in the future. Please pray for new opportunities in this ministry to continue. We are looking for simple opportunities to serve and know that the echos of God's love will be heard.
